Extravaganza!

We are so excited for our third annual EDYI Extravaganza! Below is all important information for the event!

• Friday 2/9: Master classes with guest artist Christina Belinsky! (EDYI 1-2: 4-5:30, Q&A for all levels 5:30-6, EDYI 3-5: 6-7:30)
• Saturday 2/10: Dancers arrive at the Orpheum Theatre at 4:30 for dress rehearsal.
• Doors open for the show at 6:30 pm. Raffles, concessions and beer/wine will be sold before the event in the lobby! Show begins at 7:30:)
• The show will finish with an awards ceremony and Q&A with Christina!
• Pre sale tickets will go on sale for EDYI families on January 10th! The link for pre sale will be posted tomorrow:)
• Tickets for the public will go on sale January 15th! Tickets for the public can be purchased using this link!
• Tickets are $20, plus additional fees that may be added by the box office

Christina Belinsky will be adjudicating the showcase and will be providing live feedback to the dancers on their routines! She will also be selecting 3 soloists to perform in our spring recital, and 1 duo. These performers will be announced after the show during the awards ceremony.

Each dancer will have plenty of other opportunities this year to perform their special dances! All dancers are encouraged to being their solo/duo to both the March and May competitions, and we will also be holding our annual EDYI Banquet and Solo/Small Group Showcase in June! We spoke to the dancers about this and they all understand the process and valuable lesson they will gain from this event:)

Recital Reminders:)

Recital tickets will be going on pre sale for EDYI families in the beginning of April! I wanted to remind everyone that each member of EDYI level 1-5 will be performing in both shows! However, Show 1 will feature more EDYI 1 & 2 routines, and Show 2 will feature more EDYI 3, 4 & 5 routines:)

• May 10-12 – Dance Ovations Hingham (we really hope everyone can come!)
• May 29 – EDYI Auditions (Level 1-2 4:00-5:30, Level 3-5 5:30-7:00)
• June 10, 11, 12 – EDYI Meetings and Apparel Fittings 
• June 15 – Community Day (Community Day dress Rehearsal 6/14)
• Weekend in June TBD – EDYI Showcase / Banquet
• June 26-30 – Dance Ovations Nationals, Hyannis MA
• July 9th- August 6th – Technique Tuesdays 
• August 12th-16th – Summer Camp
• Technique Tuesdays & Summer Camp are required for dancers to be considered for a Nutcracker lead!
