IMPORTANT DATES FOR MAY/JUNE

Friday June 5th: No classes

Saturday June 6th: Last day of regular classes for the season!

Saturday June 13th: Norfolk Community Day Performance (Performance run through Fri 6/12)

Friday June 19th: Green/Purple ballet showcase after class at 5:15! Nationals info meeting for parents at 5:30

Friday June 26th – EDYI BANQUET (after rehearsal, more details to come)

June 28th-July 1st: Dance Ovations Nationals at Mashpee High School! (Exact schedule will be announced closer to the date)

NO CLASSES FRIDAY 6/5

Reminder that classes are cancelled tonight, 6/5! Enjoy the fireworks!

TITLE HEADSHOTS ARE PAST DUE!

Headshots for title contestants were due on June 1st and I am still missing a good amount!!! Please bring in your black and white 5×7 photo to Miss Melissa ASAP!!

COMMUNITY DAY JUNE 13TH

Norfolk Lions Community Day / Holmes Field / 22 Myrtle St. / Norfolk. EDYI is slated to perform from 12:00-1:00 pm. Dancers should be onsite by 11:30 am, wearing their team tank tops (will hand out Friday before), black leggings, and hair in a slick back ponytail. Dancers should bring jazz shoes and hip hop sneakers!

EDYI BANQUET RSVP

The EDYI Banquet will be held on Friday June 26th after classes (around 5:45) An evite was sent out to individual emails but can be found using the link below!

BALLET SHOWINGS/NATIONALS MEETING

On Friday June 19th, parents are invited to come and watch green and purple team’s ballet showcase at the end of class, from 5:15-5:30!

At 5:30 on June 19th, we will have a brief informational parents meeting to go over all Nationals info and answer any questions. We can’t wait for this special event!!

NATIONALS SCHEDULE OUTLINE

Here is the latest update we have in regards to the Nationals schedule! Schedule is tentative and subject to change:

Sunday, June 28th:  Title Contestant’s Interviews and Classes / “Opening Number” Rehearsal for title contestants

Monday, June 29th: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP begins! All 2026 Title Contestant’s Performances ~ “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “MASTER CLASSES” 

 Tuesday, June 30th: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP continues…  ~ “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “DISCO PARTY” 

Wednesday, July 1st:  NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP continues… “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “DANCE ON”  ~ “GALA – NATIONAL AWARDS PRESENTATION” 

I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW REHEARSALS

The intro to modern piece “I can see clearly now” will be rehearsing for the next three weeks leading up to nationals on Mondays from 6:00-7:00!

JUNE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Starting the week of June 8th, we will be modifying the weekly EDYI schedule to prepare for Nationals! Here is the schedule we will be following:

Monday

4:00-6:00 – Green/Purple Team

6:00-7:00 – I Can See Clearly Now

6:00-8:00 – Red Team

Wednesday

4-4:30 – Red team modern

4:30-5:30 – EDYI Productions

5:30-6:00 – Hip Hop

Friday

4:00-5:30 – Solo/small group run through
