Faculty Update

Dear Families,

I am writing to provide an important update regarding our teaching staff.

New Faculty Members

We are excited to welcome three new faculty members to the Exhale team:

  – Miss Kaitlin will be teaching Red Team Ballet, starting immediately. Miss Kaitlin is both a physical therapist and a dance teacher, joining us as a colleague of Miss Melissa.
  – Miss Mairead will be joining us to teach EDYI Purple/Green Ballet on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting January 19th. She will also assist Miss Melissa with rehearsals on Fridays.  Miss Mairead has a concentrated major in dance pedagogy and has proven to be passionate, responsible, and professional. I have personally trained her on my syllabi and she will be mentored by a highly respected professor at Dean College throughout the season.

-Miss Anneleise, who has been teaching on Saturdays since October, will be joining our team to teach Pointe on Saturdays. She is also a senior at Dean, who I have had the pleasure of teaching and mentoring. While teaching at Exhale and assisting backstage she has proven to be assertive, quick-on-her-feet and reliable. I have shared my Pointe syllabus with her, and she will also be mentored by a highly respected professor at Dean College throughout the season.

*Pointe will resume on January 24th and will be held from 12-1:30 PM for the remainder of the season. 

Current Coverage

In the meantime, Miss Amerie will continue to cover the EDYI Purple and Green Team classes until Mairead joins us in January.  Miss Melissa and I have been extremely impressed with the technical and stamina work Miss Amerie has prepared for the dancers to get them ready for the busy competition season ahead.

Our Commitment to Students

While this faculty change comes at a challenging time for me personally, I felt it was imperative to make this decision to ensure our students continue to progress, grow, and be the best version of themselves. Please know that even while on maternity leave, I will continue to mentor and monitor the Exhale faculty to maintain the strongest team possible.
