Recital

Here is a list of EDYI piece that will be in the 1pm show:

• Opener
• Closer
• Dad’s Dance
• EDYI Pointe
• EDYI Hip-Hop
• Unlimited Together
• Lyla’s Solo (National Title Winner)
• Sophia’s Solo (National Title Winner)

EVERYTHING will be in the EDYI showcase. This includes all small groups, solos and group dances. However, the Dad’s Dance will not be performed in the EDYI showcase.

You will be able to purchase tickets to both the 1pm Recreation Show (at 8pm) and EDYI Showcase (at 7pm) this Tuesday, April 29th! The links that were posted on the prior blog are not working. HERE is the ticket link for the 4pm show. The other link will be sent to everyone at 8pm at Tuesday.

Finally, I may be looking for a few volunteers to help with the recreational students during the 1pm show. You would be assigned to a particular class and would assist them with costume/shoes changes, hair and chaperoning. You would not be assisting EDYI and unfortunately you would only be able to watch the recital from the TV backstage. Please email director@exhaledance.com if you are interested in helping.

Picture Day

Picture Day is this Saturday, May 3rd, 4:30-6:00pm. Dancers should arrive in their Thankful costume (maroon dress with a mock turtle neck) and bring the costume they would like to wear for their solo picture.

Also, spring recital pictures were not part of tuition this season. Karen is giving everyone a digital download of their solo shot and EDYI group picture at a discounted rate of $35! Kristin will charge this fee on May 1st with monthly tuition. If you do not wish to pay this fee and have your child’s solo picture taken please email Kristin at registration@exhaledance.com by Tuesday, April 29th, at 12pm. Even if you decide not to have your child do a solo picture we would love everyone to attend so they can be in the group photo… It’s not the same if one dancer is missing! 🙂

Competition Tights & Shoes

Please check your child’s performance tights to make sure they are in good shape for the upcoming recital and competition. We are running low on tights and will have to put in an order if students need new tights. Please reach out to Andrea at office@exhaledance.com before next Wednesday, May 7th, to order tights or if you have any questions.

Also, please triple check your dancers shoes for the recital and upcoming competitions. I noticed that some of the dancers ballet shoes have seen better day and are currently more hole than shoe. 😉
