We can hardly believe that the Extravaganza is only a few weeks away and that a joyous competition season is right around the corner! We have a few updates for you:

Performance Season Supplies

Dance Ovations Extra Comp

We already received the schedule for the Dance Ovation the week of April 4-6th. Dancers in the Junior category (12 and under) will compete on Saturday. Dancers in the Senior category (13 and up) will compete on Sunday. The event will be held at Kennedy Middle School in Natick!!! Yes, the same place as the Extravaganza the week before. I am so excited that the dancers will get the chance to perform their pieces on the same stage the week before.

***As always, we hope dancers will support their teammates by staying the entire day they are competing, or attending on the days they aren’t competing.

Competition April 11-13th

Kaleidoscope recently postponed their competition due to venue issues. David and I pivoted quickly and we will now be participating in Accelerated Dance Experience. This is a competition that I was highly interested in trying this season. This competition has many of the same values as Kaleidoscope, including a highly educated judging panel. I feel that this will be a great way for the dancers to try a new competition in a nurturing, educational environment. We will receive a very similar experience as we would at Kaleidoscope and I am excited for this new adventure.

Tentative Schedule: Dancers in the Junior Category (12 and under) will likely compete on Saturday. Dancers in the Senior Category (13 and up) will likely compete on Sunday. I have requested that the production pieces be performed on Sunday and the director has agreed to accommodate this request.

Venue: Thayer Academy in Braintree. (This venue will be an easier commute for the team and there will be ample parking! ).
