OPTIONAL COMPETITION UPDATE and COMMITMENT FORM
Dear Parents and Dancers,
We are providing the following potential optional Competition dates for EDYI Specialties and select Groups that may be looking to enhance their performance experience:
- Dance Ovations / April 4th – 6th / Medway, MA
- Kaleidoscope Dance Awards / April 13th / Warwick RI
The Directors of Kaleidoscope and Dance Ovations have asked us to get in our Competition entries ASAP. They are saving spots for us, but can only do that for so long.
We really hope that our growing dancers will take advantage of these extra opportunities. Especially, any dancer that may have lofty goals and want to do their personal best! These extra opportunities will help prepare our growing dancers, foster their growth, and get them closer to reaching their personal goals.
We have created a new google form with the option to split up the competition payments. We need everyone to complete this form and submit your response by February 5th.
EXTRAVAGANZA 2025 UPDATE and SCHEDULE
The 2025 Exhale Extravaganza will be held on Friday, March 28th, and Saturday, March 29th. We are so fortunate to have Sandi Duncan, an absolute icon in the dance world, joining us for this year’s Event!
Extravaganza Schedule
Monday, March 3rd:
Ticket Sales will go live on the blog at 8:00 pm. This will be tiered ticketing and will include reserved seating.
Friday, March 28th: Mandatory Workshop Classes at Exhale Dance Studios
4:00 – 6:30 pm: Dancers’ Workshop Classes with Sandi Duncan.
6:30 – 7:30pm: Parents’ Workshop Class with Sandi Duncan. (Dancers will rehearse in Studio A, while parents attend their Master Class in Studio B).
PLEASE NOTE: We strongly encourage parents to attend this Workshop Class. Sandi will be addressing key topics on how to best prepare your dancer for Competition, both physically and mentally. This will be a informative and powerful Class for all EDYI parents! (Please bring a Yoga mat…or equivalent…with you to Class.)
Saturday, March 29th: Extravaganza Performance / Kennedy Middle School / 165 Mill St. / Natick, MA
3:45 pm: Dancers arrive at Kennedy Middle School
6:30pm: SHOWTIME! (Doors to Auditorium will open at 6:00 pm)
2025 COMPETITION DATES
All EDYI Dancers will be participating in the following Competition Events this Season:
- Dance Ovations / Hingham MA / May 16th – 18th
- Dance Ovations Nationals / Hyannis / June 24th – 29th
IMPORTANT DATES FOR FEBRUARY
- February 5th: Optional Competition Form must be completed, and responses submitted!
- February 16th – 23nd: February School Vacation/ Exhale is CLOSED! (Classes on will be held on the 1st Saturday, but not on the 2nd Saturday)
PLEASE NOTE: There is a possibility that some Solo/Duo/Small Group Rehearsals will be held during the vacation week. Choreographers will reach out to you separately as needed.
