NUTCRACKER WEEK UPDATE

Dear Parents and Dancers,

Once again, a lot of information in this weeks Post. Taking you through this week day by day, in the hopes that it is more helpful. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

NUTCRACKER PREP CHECKLIST

HAIR: Please have your dancer’s hair in a “performance” bun. NO foam ‘doughnuts”. Please…and Thank You!
MAKE UP: Please have your dancer arrive in “performance” make up.
TIGHTS: Exhale will be providing a new pair of pink and tan tights, and black “knee highs” (Purple Team only) for the Performance.
SHOES: Please be sure that ALL shoes are “performance” quality! Please clean up all scuff/dirt marks to the best of your ability. Purple Team Tap Shoes must be polished!
EARRINGS: All Dancers will be wearing their Team earrings for the Performance. Dancers who did not attend Nationals will be receiving a pair this week. MONDAY DECEMEBER 9TH

ALL EDYI CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT HOLBROOK TODAY DURING THEIR REGULARLY SCHEDULED TIME
Dancers should bring all shoes to class. We will be taking a look to ensure that they are “Performance Quality”, and keep you posted as needed.
Dancers will be sent home this evening with 1 Costume that they will wear for tomorrow’s Photo session
“Mice Battle” will rehearse today, as scheduled, from 5:30-6:00.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10th

NUTCRACKER Tech/Dress Rehearsal & Photo Session

WHERE: King Phillip High School

General Schedule for the Day is as follows:

4:00-6:00: Purple Team Assistant Teachers should be present to rehearse with their respective classes. PLEASE NOTE: Dinner will be provided by Exhale!
Assistant Teachers should collaborate and design a staggered schedule to “step away”, and do their hair and make up for the Photo Session.
4:30-5:00: “Little Bo Peep”
5:30-6:00: Lead Dolls
6:00-8:00: EDYI BLUE TEAM
6:00-8:30: EDYI GREEN TEAM
6:00-9:00: EDYI PURPLE TEAM

ALL DANCERS SHOULD ARRIVE TO KP IN COSTUME, WITH HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE.

DANCERS SHOULD WEAR THEIR NUDE LEOTARD UNDER COSTUME, AND BRING A REGULAR LEOTARD TO CHANGE INTO AFTER THE PHOTO SESSION.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11th

ALL EDYI CLASSES HELD AS SCHEDULED, AT THEIR RESPECTIVE LOCATIONS

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12th

EDYI ACRO & HIP HOP WILL BE HELD AS SCHEDULED, AT THEIR RESPECTIVE LOCATIONS

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13th

5:00 – 7:30: NUTCRACKER COSTUME RUN THROUGH AT HOLBROOK. ALL EDYI DANCERS MUST ATTEND!

Dancers should bring their Costume from the Photo Session to rehearsal
Dancers should arrive wearing their nude leotard and tan rehearsal tights.
Dancers should also bring a pair of pink rehearsal tights with them, in order to practice their Costume changes.

PLEASE NOTE: EDYI Modern, and Specialty Rehearsals will NOT be held today.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14th

1:30 – 3:30: FINAL NUTCRACKER RUN THROUGH AT HOLBROOK. ALL EDYI DANCERS MUST ATTEND!

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15th

Nutcracker Performance / King Phillip High School

Dancers will need to arrive at 12:00, and be onstage, ready to rehearse at 12:30.
2:00 SHOWTIME!

MONDAY, DECEMBER 16th

EDYI/NUTCRACKER CAST “DAY OFF”
