Costume Note:)

Below is a note from Miss Shannen about costumes!

Dear EDYI families,

With our full May schedule we have decided that this year dancers will be taking their costumes home from the recital.  The only costume that will be left behind is the ballet costume since that is not going to competition.  Dancers need to remain backstage until they have been checked out by a faculty member.  Please make sure that all pieces make it to your home and then to Hingham on May 11th.  

Below are some steps you should follow to take care of your costumes and keep them stage ready.

• When you get home take them out of the bag and put them in a safe place away from younger siblings and pets.
• The night before the competition, place the costumes on the outside of the shower while you run the hot water.  Make sure to close the door so that the steam can get the wrinkles out.
• Make sure you have all pieces and put costumes back into the bag.
• Tights will be handed out to dancers the Friday before performances (this Friday for the recital and a new pair the following Friday for competition). 

Here is everything you should have for group dances.  You should already have all solo/duo costumes.

• Tap – Blue sparkly dress

• Production – White leotard, flannel BRING YOUR SHORTS
• Jazz – Teal/purple leotard with attached skirt

EDYI 3

• Production – White leotard, flannel BRING YOUR SHORTS
• Jazz – Black/red leotard, fringe skirt
• Tap – White t shirt, overalls, handkerchief
• Production – Black dress

EDYI 4

• Production – White leotard, flannel BRING YOUR SHORTS
• Jazz – Red dress
• Tap – Black unitard, white tank top, chiffon shawl
• Modern – Blue dress
• Run Like the River – Blue dress
• Production – Black dress
