Dear Families:
We are thrilled to announce that Thelma Goldberg will be the Master Teacher for our 2026 Extravaganza this February. A leader in the dance industry for over 40 years, Mrs. Goldberg received her doctoral degree in Educational Studies from Lesley University in 2020, with a concentration in tap dance education.
The Extravaganza schedule is as follows:
- Friday, 4:30-7:00, February 27th: Our advanced team will participate in Master tap classes led by Mrs. Goldberg.
- Friday, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: All parents in our dance community and all EDYI dancers are invited to attend a dance history lecture led by Mrs. Goldberg. – At least one parent per family should attend this event. It will allow you to gain important knowledge about your child’s art form and connect even more with the deep rooted history of dance!
- 12-6pm (dancers should arrive at 11:45). Saturday, February 28th: Mrs. Goldberg will observe our dancers perform their spring pieces and provide individual and group feedback. This is an invaluable opportunity for our dancers to grow as both technicians and performers.
- 6:15-7:00: parent viewing and Thelma will give out three stand out awards.
- 7:00: we are currently working on a reception at Sunshine Tomato pizza! An RSVP and more information will be coming soon.
We are honored to welcome Thelma Goldberg to our studio to inspire and educate our students. This event is made possible through our recent fundraisers; thank you for supporting initiatives like the Valentine’s Party that allow us to provide these educational opportunities.
